Praha 2000: World Bank and IMF Under Siege

On September 26th, 2000, activists from around the world gathered to protest the World Bank and International Monetary Fund’s annual meeting in Prague.

On the heels of persistent massive protests
against global economic institutions, the protests in Prague marked the first time that trade unionists, students, anarchists, workers, pacifists, socialists, non-governmental organizations, communists,
ecologists, and many other groups came together under the banner of anti-globalization and anti-capitalism.

In this video, interviews with organizers, demonstrators, observers, and theorists explain this
new movement for freedom and why the IMF and World Bank are "under siege".
