The indigenous Zapatista communities of Chiapas invite people of
conscience everywhere to visit their education projects and celebrate New
Years 2000 in the misty mountains and steamy jungles of the Mexican
southeast. The Education Caravan for Peace still has a limited number of
openings for a trip leaving Mexico City on Dec. 27, 2000 and returning on
Jan. 5, 2001.
The indigenous Zapatista communities of Chiapas invite people of
conscience everywhere to visit their education projects and celebrate New
Years 2000 in the misty mountains and steamy jungles of the Mexican
southeast. The Education Caravan for Peace still has a limited number of
openings for a trip leaving Mexico City on Dec. 27, 2000 and returning on
Jan. 5, 2001.
Participants will live and learn in civilian cultural and education
centers while making a concrete contribution to peace with dignity. Most
importantly, volunteers will get to know a little about a profound and
ancient peoples struggling to finally be free.Â
