People are gearing up in DC and around the country
(in some places around the world too!) for the
upcoming mobilization against *more* violence in
retaliation for the September 11 tragedy, when
hijacked planes crashed in to the World Trade
Center in NYC and the Pentagon in DC.

Thousands will descend upon Washington, DC, to protest in Bush’s backyard to let him know that he *does not* have the "full support of the American people" for a "war against terrorism."

It is a critical time to carry this Emergency Broadcast.

Why is it critical? Because voices for a peaceful solution are not getting through the corporate media
blockade that is calling for war.

The DC-IMC Audio Team (http://dc.indymedia.org/audio) and WBAI Radio in Exile (http://www.wbix.org) are calling on all Radio and Internet Broadcasters to carry this feed.

Stay Tuned!

For LIVE audio from teach-ins and street
demonstrations throughout the weekend.

This
broadcast will feature the voices of the many
people traveling to DC and mobilizing locally, who
are calling for a peaceful solution.

YOU will hear from groups and individuals who are examining the root causes and seeking to provide historical context to the events that occurred on September 11 as well as the US government’s response and their historical approach to foreign policy.

Others are focusing on the connections between capitalism and attacks on civilian populations and war in general.

Some of the platforms for the demonstrations planned for Saturday and Sunday include "Principles of Unity" that assert the need for a non-violent response from the US government and call for an end to social and economic injustices that breed state and non-state violence.
